Last updated: 19th May 2020
ClassroomQ takes your privacy very seriously. This privacy policy is designed to assist you in understanding how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us and to assist you in making informed decisions when using our site and our services. The content of ClassroomQ.com are the service offerings of ClassroomQ, a limited liability company registered in New Jersey, United States of America with company number 0450185978. ClassroomQ is an online platform that provides a tool that teachers may use to queue up students in class who need assistance. ClassroomQ and associated companies, and references in this document to “us,” “our,” and “we” refer to ClassroomQ and ClassroomQ.com.
This Privacy Policy addresses all the requirements set out in the GDPR. The General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”) is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas. The GDPR aims primarily to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and to simplify the regulatory environment for international business by unifying the regulation within the EU.
COPPA (Children Online Privacy Protection Act)
When it comes to the collection of personal information from children under the age of 13 years old, the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) puts parents in control. The Federal Trade Commission, United States’ consumer protection agency, enforces the COPPA Rule, which spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online.
We do not specifically market to children under the age of 13 years old.
California Online Privacy Protection Act
CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require any person or company in the United States (and conceivably the world) that operates websites collecting Personally Identifiable Information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and those individuals or companies with whom it is being shared.
Please review this Privacy Policy before you use the Website, Mobile App or any of the services or features offered on or through the Site or through the Mobile App. By using the Website, Mobile App and its services and features, you agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Site or its services and features.
- Information Collected
ClassroomQ only collects requisite personal information from you when you register to use the website, mobile app, or its services and features, as well as any information you voluntarily and knowingly disclose to us via support requests, email and letter correspondence, and phone communications.
